Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is commonly used as the flexible carrier material in modern automotive paint protection film.
Why it matters
The label identifies a material family, not a complete film specification. Coating, adhesive and manufacturing also influence the installed result. Do not transfer a raw-material property or a supplier’s grade specification to every film sold as TPU.
