Adhesive / Pressure-sensitive adhesive

Definition, practical relevance and related concepts.

Definition

The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer that bonds PPF to a suitable substrate, distinct from the carrier film and top coat.

Why it matters

Paint condition, preparation and fitting affect adhesion. Removability is not a guarantee that weak paint layers cannot lift. Avoid unapproved preparation residues and keep the product’s installation instructions with the fitting record.

Apply the concept

Choosing an installer and understanding the work

Practical questions about preparation, cutting, edges and handover, plus realistic limits for DIY kits.
