Definition
The visual impression of concentrated reflection from a surface. Glossy PPF is intended to retain or produce a reflective appearance over the underlying colour.
Why it matters
View an installed sample rather than judging only a roll. Surface texture, viewing angle and the paint underneath affect the impression. Gloss alone is not a measure of impact protection.
Apply the concept
How to compare PPF finish and quality
Use an installed sample and a documented specification to compare clear, matte, coloured and coated films.
